Bellamy signs new deal

Newcastle United striker Craig Bellamy has signed a four-and-a-half year contract with his club that will see him stay at St. James Park till 2007.
The 23-year-old Welshman joined Newcastle from Coventry City in 2001 over £6 million cost.
He has become an important figure in the Magpies squad following his ability to score important goals, especially the goals he scored against Feyenoord that sent the Bobby Robson boys to the second phase of the Champions league.
His combination with Alan Shearer has really helped the squad as Newcastle are now placed 4th position in the league with a game at hand.
Bellamy disclosed to reporters that he is happy renewing his contract to remain at the club till 2007; and that he is happy to stay in a determined club like Newcastle.
