Ruud Van Nistelrooy was hot as his two goals completely humiliated Spanish giant Deportivo La Coruna at Old Trafford.
Progressively, Nistelrooy scored two goals last two weeks against Basle and repeated the same streak against Deportivo.
It was just seven minutes into the game where the high snapping striker gave a good header through a cross from Paul Scholes to signal the arrival of the Alex Ferguson boys.
Though Deportivo played more part of the game which saw the first half ending with the percentage ball possession to the advantage of the Spanish team.
There is no doubt that Ferguson gave some hints to his boys, as United didn't take the second half for granted. Likewise, they mounted more pressure from the left wing through Ryan Giggs who was absolutely fantastic.
They were given a reward for their hard work in the 55th minute after a good walk from Solksjaer hence a close-range shot from Nistelrooy.
David Beckham came into the game in just less than 10 minutes for the game to climax, this seems a big boost for United.
The renewing of the rivalries between both teams saw Manchester United emerged victorious. Accordingly, Ferguson admitted his contentment with the result and didn't seize to shower praises on the man of the moment Nistelrooy.
